Meet Gabriella Picariello
LSW, (she/they)
Specialties: children, teens, young adults, sexual abuse, grief
Hello there! My name is Gabriella. As an experienced therapist deeply committed to your well-being, my aim is to provide a supportive environment where healing and growth can flourish.
With a robust background in trauma-informed care, I approach each therapeutic journey with sensitivity and respect. Drawing from extensive experience working with survivors of commercial sex trafficking, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and emotional neglect I understand the profound impact of trauma and the importance of fostering a safe and empowering environment for your healing journey.
In my practice, I integrate a variety of clinical modalities tailored to meet your unique needs and preferences. From Trauma-informed Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and expressive art therapy to psychodynamic therapy and somatic therapy, I utilize evidence-based approaches to facilitate meaningful transformation and healing. Whether it's exploring cognitive patterns, tapping into your creative expression, delving into unconscious processes, or addressing cyclical relationship patterns, together, we'll navigate a therapeutic path that feels both supportive and effective.
Additionally, my passion for play therapy extends to my work with children and adolescents, where I work alongside parents and their children using the power of creative expression to help young clients navigate complex emotions and life transitions with their caregivers.
I have a particular affinity for supporting college-age young adults through life's myriad changes and challenges. Whether you're navigating academic stressors, identity exploration, or relational dynamics, I offer a compassionate and nonjudgmental space for you to explore, grow, and thrive.
Diversity and inclusivity are foundational pillars of my practice. I am dedicated to serving clients from all walks of life, valuing and honoring the richness of your diverse backgrounds, identities, and belief systems.
Navigating intricate relationship dynamics can be daunting, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. Whether you're contending with familial conflicts, relational difficulties, or interpersonal struggles, I'm here to provide guidance, insight, and practical tools to foster healthier connections and communication.
Above all, my goal is to cultivate a warm, empathetic, and empowering environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Your journey toward healing and self-discovery is unique, and I am honored to walk alongside you every step of the way."
